After a defensive mix-up in Los Mapuches's zone, Emanuel Salamon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Enol came out of the goal and Emanuel Salamon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Salamon in the 31st minute of play forced Los Mapuches's goalkeeper Horacio Enol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Salamon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horacio Enol was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After having played for 34 minutes, Emanuel Salamon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Cantina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Salamon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Narciso Aznar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Enol having to interfere. If Narciso Aznar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Luis Emeterio notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Los Mapuches's Horacio Enol. Horacio Enol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45thth minute of the game Emanuel Salamon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Mapuches's Horacio Enol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Arias was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Mapuches's goalkeeper Horacio Enol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 62 played minutes Los Mapuches got a freekick which was hit by Angel Emeterio. The crowd rose to their feet as La Cantina's Narciso Aznar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Horacio Enol. That made the score 0-3 after 65 minutes of play. Horacio Enol stood somewhat misplaced when Emanuel Salamon came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 69 minute. In the 72nd minute, Narciso Aznar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Cantina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Horacio Enol didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 0-6. Atilano Fidencio's late challenge caught a Los Mapuches's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
