In the 32nd minute of the match Augusto Dabi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Primitivo Harriet skillfully saved the ball. Isaias Lixandro kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Casimiro Omero fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfonso Reno, passed just outside the right post. Piedraitas's Alfonso Reno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Asteri in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Asteri in the 48th minute of play forced Piedraitas's goalkeeper Alfonso Reno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentin Asteri to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Jogo Bonito's Rene Eduino got a free kick in the 80th minute. Alfonso Reno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Asteri in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 minutes of play Piedraitas's Wilfredo Harri was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 85 played minutes Piedraitas got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Harri. Piedraitas's Alfonso Reno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Omero in the 86th minute of play. Alfonso Reno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Omero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes Piedraitas got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Ponc. Valentin Asteri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casimiro Omero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Piedraitas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
