After 7 played minutes Cuervit0 got a freekick which was hit by Albino Quinto. Norberto Ospin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Pepillo in the 8th minute of play. Omar Primeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Fernando Bikendi made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Omar Primeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuervit0's supporters rose to their feet, but Omar Primeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Bikendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the game, Ulises Baumar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olavarría's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuervit0 the free kick. Ulises Baumar kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, one of Olavarría:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Olavarría. Cuervit0's Norberto Ospin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Pepillo in the 20th minute of play. Fernando Bikendi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omar Primeiro in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Olavarría getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Hector Matthew hit a great ball. The long shot by Serafino Amor in the 24th minute really tested Fernando Bikendi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Olavarría's zone, Omar Primeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Bikendi came out of the goal and Omar Primeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norberto Ospin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Lluc, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cuervit0's zone, Melquiades Pepillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Ospin came out of the goal and Melquiades Pepillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clodoveo Quirze in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Bikendi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Melquiades Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Clodoveo Quirze took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Fernando Bikendi to make any attempt to save it. Fernando Bikendi made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Omar Primeiro sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melquiades Pepillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Melquiades Pepillo struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Norberto Ospin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olavarría. Olavarría's Fernando Bikendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Primeiro in the 61st minute of play. Fernando Bikendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Primeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Hector Matthew's late challenge caught a Cuervit0's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Matthew helped the player get up and apologised. Hector Matthew hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Melquiades Pepillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Norberto Ospin came out and tried to block the shot, but Melquiades Pepillo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute, Hector Matthew hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Clodoveo Quirze came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Cuervit0 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Quirze couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Melquiades Pepillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melquiades Pepillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Norberto Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norberto Ospin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Pepillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cuervit0's Norberto Ospin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Cuervit0 from getting a goal against them. Romeo Lluc's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Norberto Ospin firmly grabbed it by the left post.
