After 31 played minutes Punta Alta Team got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Firman. Aurelio Otsando didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 33rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Frantzes in the 36th minute of play forced Punta Alta Team's goalkeeper Aurelio Otsando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Pedro Ortle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Lluterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julio Frantzes was the one to do the kick off. Aurelio Otsando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Bernebe went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the match, Vertientes AFC's Julio Frantzes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Otsando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Julio Frantzes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Txaran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75thth minute of the game Julio Frantzes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Punta Alta Team's Aurelio Otsando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aurelio Otsando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Frantzes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Christian Txaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Ortle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Lluterio having to interfere. The supporters of Vertientes AFC booed when Punta Alta Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Ortle didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Punta Alta Team players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vertientes AFC.
