In the 8th minute, Uriel Txema ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Bikendi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Uriel Txema could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Fernando Bikendi made a huge save. Mariano Vasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Bikendi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Txema in the 14th minute of play. Uriel Txema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Bikendi having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Hector Matthew was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olavarría's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Santa Clara the free kick. After a rather tough play, Olavarría's Hector Matthew got a free kick in the 17th minute. Honorato Peter struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Fernando Bikendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Santa Clara. 30 minutes into the match, Atlético Santa Clara's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Pepillo came free, but Mariano Hermelando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Olavarría's goalkeeper Fernando Bikendi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Mariano Vasco came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Atlético Santa Clara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Vasco couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Olavarría's zone, Uriel Txema stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Bikendi came out of the goal and Uriel Txema tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Olavarría's Romeo Lluc got a free kick in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Uriel Txema recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fernando Bikendi. Uriel Txema showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Atlético Santa Clara's Mariano Hermelando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Lluc in the 48th minute of play.

After 54 played minutes Atlético Santa Clara got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Shepherd. During the 57th minute of the match Bonifacio Shepherd completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bonifacio Shepherd a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético Santa Clara fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! Romeo Lluc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Mariano Hermelando made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, Atlético Santa Clara's goalkeeper Mariano Hermelando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Lluc. When Oscar Elorri came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Olavarría fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Elorri couldn't finish the play. Mariano Hermelando came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Olavarría's Romeo Lluc. But to his dismay, Romeo Lluc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Fernando Bikendi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Vasco went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulises Baumar during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Olavarría getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ulises Baumar hit a great ball. Mariano Vasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Fernando Bikendi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mariano Vasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Leopoldo Dominix came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Atlético Santa Clara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Dominix couldn't finish the play.
