Spectators: 7172 (Terracing: 5481, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Uriel Txema kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Uriel Txema managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Santa Clara's supporters rose to their feet, but Uriel Txema was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nereo Fraco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nereo Fraco came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Santa Clara's Uriel Txema. But to his dismay, Uriel Txema quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Mariano Hermelando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Ritchie, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Uriel Txema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Cresconio's late challenge caught a Atlético Santa Clara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomero Cresconio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Atlético Santa Clara booed when Guemes Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Cresconio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Guemes Juniors's Nereo Fraco got control of the ball when Honorato Peter tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31stth minute of the game Romulo Artizar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Santa Clara's Mariano Hermelando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mariano Vasco kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Honorato Ferman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Atlético Santa Clara's Uriel Txema in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guemes Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. Honorato Peter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nereo Fraco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Uriel Txema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Justino Maria made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Lucio Sustrai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guemes Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Santa Clara the free kick. 53 minutes into the match, Atlético Santa Clara's Uriel Txema sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nereo Fraco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Uriel Txema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaldo Ritchie kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Romulo Artizar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guemes Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Artizar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Hermelando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Maria in the 62nd minute of play. Atlético Santa Clara's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Justino Maria 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Uriel Txema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Fraco having to interfere. Uriel Txema recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Txema in the 74th minute of play forced Guemes Juniors's goalkeeper Nereo Fraco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uriel Txema received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Nereo Fraco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Atlético Santa Clara's Eugenio Estevon seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Eugenio Estevon the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Atlético Santa Clara protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eugenio Estevon had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Ladislao Inautzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Santa Clara's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Inautzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nereo Fraco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mariano Vasco took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nereo Fraco. Nereo Fraco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. A collision led to Guemes Juniors getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Honorato Ferman hit a great ball. In the 98th minute, Arnaldo Ritchie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Honorato Peter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
