Wilfredo Montez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Silverio Tonete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaberto Ler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Tiniebra in the 13th minute of play. Wilfredo Montez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilfredo Montez struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Silverio Tonete didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlotte Hornets. After 26 minutes of play, Charlotte Hornets's Americo Kelemen made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silverio Tonete was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luisito Leoiar kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Americo Kelemen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silverio Tonete was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Hugo Berto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Ler having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Montez to make the kick off. Eleuterio Frasquito kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Elpidio Rutenio, 55 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 57thth minute of the game Wilfredo Montez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but river b's Silverio Tonete was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 60 minutes of play, river b's Luisito Leoiar made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guaberto Ler was left in no man's land by his defense there! 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by river b's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eleuterio Frasquito was slow to take the kick. During this time Charlotte Hornets's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Tobias Oxarra heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 75th play minute Americo Kelemen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Silverio Tonete. 2-4. If Wilfredo Montez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Eriz in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Ler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisito Leoiar during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes river b got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Leoiar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amador Bermund got free with Silverio Tonete in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Charlotte Hornets eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
