In the 31stth minute of the game Marcelo Petri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but J.P.S's Alfredo Ioritz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roberto Nofre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Ioritz having to make a save. 32 minutes into the match, J.P.S's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Petri came free, but Alfredo Ioritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Petri in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Ioritz saved J.P.S from getting behind. Edgardo Idacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Alfredo Ioritz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Marcelo Petri made the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Ioritz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Petri in the 55th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guaberto Pabla during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Damian Dimo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in J.P.S's zone, Marcelo Petri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Ioritz came out of the goal and Marcelo Petri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Petri in the 79th minute of play forced J.P.S's goalkeeper Alfredo Ioritz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. J.P.S's Alfredo Ioritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Petri in the 80th minute of play. When Marcelo Petri came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the S.A.R.A. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Petri couldn't finish the play. Damian Dimo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in J.P.S's zone, Felix Rosalio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Ioritz came out of the goal and Felix Rosalio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Narciso Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.A.R.A.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 93 in the game by Marcelo Petri from a close distance when the talented Alfredo Ioritz managed to make a qualified save. J.P.S's players were relieved. In the 96th minute Leopoldo Argi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placide Hottiger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
