S.A.R.A.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Horacio Sadurni scored to the left of an out of position Placide Hottiger, making the score, 1-1. Placide Hottiger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Ursino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in S.A.R.A.'s zone, Horacio Sadurni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placide Hottiger came out of the goal and Horacio Sadurni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 minutes, Eustaquio Darien made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. S.A.R.A.'s Placide Hottiger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Placide Hottiger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustaquio Darien in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, S.A.R.A.'s goalkeeper Placide Hottiger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eustaquio Darien. After 34th play minutes Marcelo Petri shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Froilan Liher and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Petri in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Froilan Liher saved Paredon FC from getting behind. With a little luck, S.A.R.A.'s Placide Hottiger got control of the ball when Felipe Ursino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eustaquio Darien could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Placide Hottiger made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in S.A.R.A.'s zone, Eustaquio Darien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placide Hottiger came out of the goal and Eustaquio Darien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Felipe Ursino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Placide Hottiger, 4-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-2 at half-time.

S.A.R.A.'s Placide Hottiger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Darien in the 53rd minute of play. Placide Hottiger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustaquio Darien went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score. Marcelo Petri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Froilan Liher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Horacio Sadurni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Placide Hottiger. S.A.R.A.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Sadurni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-2. Placide Hottiger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Darien, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in S.A.R.A.'s zone, Eustaquio Darien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placide Hottiger came out of the goal and Eustaquio Darien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Darien in the 93rd minute of play forced S.A.R.A.'s goalkeeper Placide Hottiger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, S.A.R.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Sadurni came free, but Placide Hottiger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
