With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Petri in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Macerio saved Club Atlético La Escoria from getting behind. After 14 minutes, Tadeo Rufio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.A.R.A. and the Club Atlético La Escoria players grew even worse after the yellow card. Placide Hottiger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodrigo Loren went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Anselmo Corderall fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético La Escoria's protests and gave Anselmo Corderall a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, Anselmo Corderall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, S.A.R.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Loren came free, but Placide Hottiger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Benicio Etxatxu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético La Escoria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some careless play in the S.A.R.A. defense, Benicio Etxatxu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Placide Hottiger. The S.A.R.A. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Placide Hottiger should have stopped the shot. Elvio Macerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Nofre in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Marcelo Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Macerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ubaldo Cordaro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A hard shot 47 in the game by Marcelo Petri from a close distance when the talented Elvio Macerio managed to make a qualified save. Club Atlético La Escoria's players were relieved.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Petri made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Marcelo Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Macerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.A.R.A. were furious when Felix Rosalio was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Roberto Nofre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elvio Macerio having to make a save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 64 minutes into the game, when Anselmo Corderall put in a rough tackle. In the 63rd minute, one of Club Atlético La Escoria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atlético La Escoria. Marcelo Petri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elvio Macerio having to make a save. In the 71st minute Marcelo Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Macerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.A.R.A.'s Placide Hottiger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save S.A.R.A. from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Benicio Etxatxu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético La Escoria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After 77 minutes of play, S.A.R.A.'s Marcelo Petri made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elvio Macerio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgardo Idacio made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Atlético La Escoria's Gavino Galtero. If Roberto Nofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atlético La Escoria's Elvio Macerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Petri in the 87th minute of play. Elvio Macerio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Petri's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Rodrigo Loren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodrigo Loren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Placide Hottiger. That made the score 2-6 in the 97 minute of play. Although S.A.R.A. had been in control for most of the match, Club Atlético La Escoria still came away with the win.
