After a defensive mix-up in Iloponom's zone, Leo Roland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Orlandus came out of the goal and Leo Roland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iloponom's Julian Orlandus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Roland in the 11th minute of play. Ricardo Fort F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Poz in the 13th minute. Eliseo Poz made a great header on Ricardo Fort F.C's corner, it was just that Iloponom's Julian Orlandus managed to reach the ball for a save. Leo Roland took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julian Orlandus. Julian Orlandus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ricardo Fort F.C's Zeledon Asteri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ricardo Fort F.C from getting a goal against them. Matias Bazil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Zeledon Asteri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Melquiades Stanislao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iloponom's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melquiades Stanislao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute of the match Ezequiel Fonso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeledon Asteri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Stanislao in the 29th minute of play forced Ricardo Fort F.C's goalkeeper Zeledon Asteri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matias Bazil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 34 minutes, Ildefonso Jakobe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ricardo Fort F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildefonso Jakobe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leo Roland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Orlandus having to interfere. A collision led to Ricardo Fort F.C getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Leo Roland hit a great ball. Julian Orlandus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Roland, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Matias Bazil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Asteri having to interfere. After the first half Ricardo Fort F.C were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ildefonso Jakobe to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Ricardo Fort F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Sazon to maneuver through the defense. Matias Bazil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leo Roland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julian Orlandus having to make a save. If Leo Roland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iloponom's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ildefonso Jakobe 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Zeledon Asteri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Stanislao in the 66th minute of play. Maximiliano Sazon kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Matias Bazil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeledon Asteri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Iloponom's Matias Bazil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeledon Asteri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Ricardo Fort F.C's Eliseo Poz got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Melquiades Stanislao came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Iloponom fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Stanislao couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute Matias Bazil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matias Bazil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Fort F.C's Zeledon Asteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Bazil in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ricardo Fort F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
