Iloponom's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cara de Puño the free kick. Cara de Puño's Eriberto Corderun couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Iloponom. In the 17th minute Simon Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Orlandus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lino Osorio hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Cara de Puño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Ibañez to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Gaizko's late challenge caught a Iloponom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Gaizko helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute of the match Iloponom got a corner. Cara de Puño's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonel Firman ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Simon Derwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Orlandus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Librado, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Clemente Frichoso kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Iloponom's Julian Orlandus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejo Librado in the 44th minute of play. When Eriberto Corderun fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cara de Puño's protests and gave Eriberto Corderun a yellow card for diving instead. Eriberto Corderun hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

56 minutes into the match, Iloponom's goalkeeper Julian Orlandus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Derwin. Matias Bazil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alejo Librado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julian Orlandus came out and tried to block the shot, but Alejo Librado slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Stanislao in the 81st minute of play forced Cara de Puño's goalkeeper Alfonso Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Rami during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cara de Puño had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
