The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anacleto Lauaxeta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Peter in the 17th minute of play forced Encrucijadas AFC's goalkeeper Anacleto Lauaxeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, Encrucijadas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Ritchie to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the game, Delmiro Osorio threw the ball into play from the sideline. After a defensive mix-up in Garzon's zone, Florentino Egun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arsenio Bidari came out of the goal and Florentino Egun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garzon's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Florentino Egun 41 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Anacleto Lauaxeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Miliano in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Peter to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Samuel Ritchie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Encrucijadas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Ritchie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arsenio Bidari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute of the match Ermegildo Vitin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arsenio Bidari skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Garzon defense, Florentino Egun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arsenio Bidari. The Garzon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arsenio Bidari should have stopped the shot. Florentino Egun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anacleto Lauaxeta was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Emiliano Peter capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emiliano Peter really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
