Christian Gamus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Anacleto Lauaxeta made a huge save. Braulio Oinaz struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Juan Nicholas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Encrucijadas AFC. In the 15th minute Flavio Justin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Lauaxeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermegildo Vitin might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Nicholas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Nicholas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emilio Boni didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Natalio Asier sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Anacleto Lauaxeta threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Natalio Asier this time. Juan Nicholas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florentino Egun's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Braulio Oinaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Juan Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 played minutes La Zeideneta Mecanica got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Romildo. Juan Nicholas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florentino Egun's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute Ruperto Romildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Lauaxeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Anacleto Lauaxeta successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florentino Egun to make the kick off. Encrucijadas AFC's Anacleto Lauaxeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Joachim in the 51st minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Florentino Egun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juan Nicholas, 0-1. If Braulio Oinaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florentino Egun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Juan Nicholas made a huge save. In the 68th match minute, Encrucijadas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Erramu to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, La Zeideneta Mecanica's Juan Nicholas got control of the ball when Florentino Egun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Braulio Oinaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Nicholas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match Encrucijadas AFC got a corner. La Zeideneta Mecanica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ermegildo Vitin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Florentino Egun drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind La Zeideneta Mecanica's goalkeeper. In the 95th minute, Vicente Abalos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florentino Eguns short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Juan Nicholas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match was over Encrucijadas AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Zeideneta Mecanica throughout the match.
