Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gil Donatello kicked off to start the match. When Tito Noir fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Pappo's protests and gave Tito Noir a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Deportivo Pappo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tito Noir to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Gaufred in the 14th minute of play forced Gimnasia CdelU's goalkeeper Aquilino Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Gutxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Neto having to interfere. Lázaro Gutxi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Maldonado having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pablo Quentin during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Uriel Astigar kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Gil Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia CdelU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Donatello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pappo's Maximiliano Gaufred sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aquilino Neto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Bazil during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute, Mauro Bazil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th match minute, Deportivo Pappo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Giraldo to maneuver through the defense. If Gil Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Lázaro Gutxi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Gimnasia CdelU getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Leonides Gudesteo hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Marco Maldonado came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gimnasia CdelU's Gil Donatello. But to his dismay, Gil Donatello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gimnasia CdelU's Mauro Bazil got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Mauro Bazil off the ground. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Lázaro Gutxi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 64 minutes into the game, Fidel Derwin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gimnasia CdelU's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Pappo the free kick. After 64 played minutes Gimnasia CdelU got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Derwin. Deportivo Pappo's Jonatan Giraldo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aquilino Neto but with some difficulty. Marco Maldonado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Quentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Deportivo Pappo getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Anastasio Mede hit a great ball. Lázaro Gutxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Neto having to interfere. Aquilino Neto made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Lázaro Gutxi sent off a good shot on target. Lázaro Gutxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gil Donatello came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Gimnasia CdelU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Donatello couldn't finish the play.
