Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gustavo Astigar kicked off to start the match. Celso Leoncio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filiberto Argi having to make a save. Rodolfo Sotil kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Igor Estebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Eloy Herrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Adan Celio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Astigar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pocitos's Eloy Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Bell in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Celso Leoncio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 played minutes Pocitos got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Ihazintu. After 25 played minutes, CF Talleres de Cba's Franz-Josef Beckenbauer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eloy Herrera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CF Talleres de Cba reached it. Eliseo Su blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filiberto Argi having to make a save. After 30 played minutes CF Talleres de Cba got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Sotil. In the 35th minute, Agustin Matxin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Franz-Josef Beckenbauer came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the CF Talleres de Cba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franz-Josef Beckenbauer couldn't finish the play. Eloy Herrera came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by CF Talleres de Cba's Igor Estebe. But to his dismay, Igor Estebe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Abelardo Berriotxoa hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseo Su to make the kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pocitos's goalkeeper Eloy Herrera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 57 played minutes CF Talleres de Cba got a freekick which was hit by Adan Celio. Abelardo Berriotxoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Filiberto Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eloy Herrera was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Gustavo Astigar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustavo Astigar really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Filiberto Argi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Su in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Gustavo Astigar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cecilio Balendin kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Gustavo Astigar managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF Talleres de Cba's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Astigar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Herrera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustavo Astigar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Herrera having to interfere. CF Talleres de Cba's Filiberto Argi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Su in the 97th minute of play. The CF Talleres de Cba supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CF Talleres de Cba would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
