Nicolas Mikelats's late challenge caught a Guajal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Mikelats helped the player get up and apologised. Nicolas Mikelats kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Guajal's zone, Gregorio Eneko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Chinto came out of the goal and Gregorio Eneko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 31 played minutes, Guajal's Arsenio Johans shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfredo Rufo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guajal reached it. Alfredo Rufo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Furman, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, GinTonic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Furman came free, but Alfredo Rufo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Padro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Filiberto Iruinea managed to get in a good position for a shot. GinTonic FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Filiberto Iruinea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Chinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filiberto Iruinea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Chinto having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregorio Eneko made a kick off. Filiberto Iruinea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Artemio Chinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute Gregorio Eneko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Chinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Gaizkine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Alfredo Rufo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Rufo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodoro Gaizkine's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. With a little luck, Guajal's Artemio Chinto got control of the ball when Filiberto Iruinea tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Filiberto Iruinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Gregorio Eneko took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Artemio Chinto to make any attempt to save it. Artemio Chinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Mikelats, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodoro Gaizkine in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Rufo saved GinTonic FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Matteo in the 88th minute of play forced GinTonic FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Rufo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Guajal's goalkeeper Artemio Chinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filiberto Iruinea.
