Spectators: 7154 (Terracing: 5356, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) TERREMOTO's Zeledon Guillen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Grüttly AFC's Gerardo Leocadio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jimeno Romildo. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Rodrigo Viviano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimeno Romildo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Viviano in the 9th minute. Nestor Cebo charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Cebo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nestor Cebo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Rodolfo Cordareo took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Placido Velasco. Placido Velasco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Grüttly AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gerardo Leocadio hit a great ball. Fermin Donostia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimeno Romildo having to make a save. Rodrigo Viviano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Jimeno Romildo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Grüttly AFC's Placido Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Guillen in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Rodolfo Cordareo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Grüttly AFC's zone, Rodolfo Cordareo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placido Velasco came out of the goal and Rodolfo Cordareo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zeledon Guillen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Viviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Romildo having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fermin Donostia in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimeno Romildo saved TERREMOTO from getting behind. Feliciano Hernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Velasco having to interfere. Placido Velasco came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by TERREMOTO's Rodolfo Cordareo. But to his dismay, Rodolfo Cordareo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fermin Donostia was the one to do the kick off. Placido Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Guillen in the 56th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, Feliciano Hernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TERREMOTO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grüttly AFC the free kick. Feliciano Hernandez hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Zeledon Guillen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Placido Velasco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Jimeno Romildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Donostia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fermin Donostia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Romildo having to interfere. TERREMOTO's Jimeno Romildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Viviano in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Grüttly AFC's Gerardo Leocadio got a free kick in the 80th minute. Teodoro Ieltxu, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Grüttly AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Cebo to maneuver through the defense. Jimeno Romildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Viviano in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, TERREMOTO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Favila to maneuver through the defense. TERREMOTO's Jimeno Romildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Donostia in the 91st minute of play. Fermin Donostia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimeno Romildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Donostia in the 95th minute of play. Rodolfo Cordareo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
