Central Norte's Isidoro Maldonado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jimeno Romildo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. TERREMOTO's Jimeno Romildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Clementi in the 11th minute of play. Central Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Erroman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Zeledon Guillen managed to get in a good position for a shot. TERREMOTO's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Guillen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Ordono breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the match, TERREMOTO's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Clementi came free, but Jimeno Romildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Cordareo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Zeledon Guillen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Ordono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Veronica blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimeno Romildo having to make a save. Hector Bittor kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. C.A. Central Norte's Lorenzo Veronica got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lorenzo Veronica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeo Ordono didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Cordareo went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

The wind increased when Omar Clementi made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, TERREMOTO's goalkeeper Jimeno Romildo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lorenzo Veronica. After 62 minutes of play, TERREMOTO's Rodolfo Cordareo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tadeo Ordono was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, TERREMOTO's Zeledon Guillen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tadeo Ordono narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Omar Clementi made a precise shot to the right of Jimeno Romildo. TERREMOTO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Rodolfo Cordareo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Ordono having to interfere. Tadeo Ordono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Cordareo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Omar Clementi might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimeno Romildo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Omar Clementi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Central Norte's goalkeeper Tadeo Ordono, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
