Benigno Rojelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Petrigai having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Shines's Justo Guzman got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Fernan Toli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santos Petrigai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Generoso Nicholas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shines's supporters rose to their feet, but Generoso Nicholas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Petrigai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Instituto de Cordoba's goalkeeper Santos Petrigai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santos Petrigai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Rojelio in the 45th minute of play. Shines's Justo Guzman got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Generoso Nicholas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Generoso Nicholas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Instituto de Cordoba's Santos Petrigai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Instituto de Cordoba from getting a goal against them. After 88 played minutes, Instituto de Cordoba's Arturo Suarez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zacarias Faro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Instituto de Cordoba reached it. Zacarias Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Hegoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rdth minute of the game Rigoberto Gaufred who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shines's Zacarias Faro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Instituto de Cordoba's zone, Benigno Rojelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Petrigai came out of the goal and Benigno Rojelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Shines players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Instituto de Cordoba from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
