After 8 played minutes Pocito AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Pello. If Zacarias Hegoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pocito AFC's Ermegildo Palban got control of the ball when Zacarias Hegoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Instituto de Cordoba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Min to maneuver through the defense. Instituto de Cordoba's Rigoberto Gaufred got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santos Petrigai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Faron in the 30th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Faron in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Petrigai saved Instituto de Cordoba from getting behind. Zacarias Hegoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermegildo Palban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Rigoberto Gaufred struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Ermegildo Palban didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Instituto de Cordoba. Salvador Faron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Petrigai having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pocito AFC's zone, Zacarias Hegoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Palban came out of the goal and Zacarias Hegoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santos Petrigai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Gil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rigoberto Gaufred to strike the kick off in the second half. Zacarias Hegoi struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ermegildo Palban didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Instituto de Cordoba. After a rather tough play, Pocito AFC's Oscar Ignazio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Aquilino Guillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Zacarias Hegoi sped through Pocito AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ermegildo Palban. When Rigoberto Gaufred came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Instituto de Cordoba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Gaufred couldn't finish the play. Ermegildo Palban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Hegoi in the 77th minute of play. Zacarias Hegoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zacarias Hegoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Palban having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Froila during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes Pocito AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Froila. Instituto de Cordoba's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alonzo Oidor in the 91st minute. Domingos Gil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santos Petrigai having to make a save. Pocito AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
