Santos Petrigai came out of the goal and Omar Clementi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rigoberto Gaufred sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th play minute Zacarias Hegoi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tadeo Ordono. 2-0. Evelio Millrick kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Rigoberto Gaufred struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Tadeo Ordono didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Instituto de Cordoba. In the 31st minute, Zacarias Hegoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tadeo Ordono took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Gaufred, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Rigoberto Gaufred's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tadeo Ordono was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. With a little luck, Instituto de Cordoba's Santos Petrigai got control of the ball when Lorenzo Veronica tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute, Rigoberto Gaufred got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C.A. Tadeo Ordono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Hegoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Leonardo Raymundo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Lorenzo Veronica's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Santos Petrigai firmly grabbed it by the left post. Lorenzo Veronica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Petrigai having to interfere. Eustaquio Abascal's late challenge caught a C.A. Central Norte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustaquio Abascal helped the player get up and apologised. 96 minutes into the game, one of Instituto de Cordoba:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Instituto de Cordoba's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
