The supporters of Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP booed when Legacy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Aresti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisito Ascencio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enzo Etxatxu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP's Dalmacio Umbruso got a free kick in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tanio in the 9th minute of play forced Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP's goalkeeper Enzo Etxatxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Alberto Tanio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Enzo Etxatxu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Enzo Etxatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Noe in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Legacy FC's Alberto Tanio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enzo Etxatxu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Enzo Etxatxu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobaldo Colon's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tanio came free, but Enzo Etxatxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tanio scored 0-4 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enzo Etxatxu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 43 minutes of play, Legacy FC's Teobaldo Colon made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enzo Etxatxu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Enzo Etxatxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tanio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Tanio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tanio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute Alberto Tanio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Etxatxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Etxatxu made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Leon Noe sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Leon Noe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Enzo Etxatxu. That made the score 0-6 in the 66 minute of play. Hugo Baldovino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Israel Hurko's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. When Teobaldo Colon fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legacy FC's protests and gave Teobaldo Colon a yellow card for diving instead. Teobaldo Colon kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ladislao Jatsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Baldovino having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Evelio Banegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legacy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP the free kick. After 78 played minutes Legacy FC got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Banegas. Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP's Enzo Etxatxu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP from getting a goal against them. Evelio Banegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Alberto Tanio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Enzo Etxatxu, 0-7. Enzo Etxatxu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teobaldo Colon in the 88th minute. Enzo Etxatxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tanio in the 89th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP defense, Alberto Tanio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enzo Etxatxu. The Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enzo Etxatxu should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leon Noe got free with Enzo Etxatxu in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Legacy FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP throughout the match.
