Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP's Ladislao Jatsu got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Israel Hurko struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Saul Tello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP. 19 minutes into the game, Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP's Israel Hurko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saul Tello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 43rd match minute, Gimnasia y Esgrima de LP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Bilintx to maneuver through the defense. Enzo Etxatxu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Txilar in the 44th minute. Arsenio Bautista kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.
