Ezequiel Gumaro made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Maximo Ponc sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute, Fabian Ereinotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezequiel Gumaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Hibai in the 16th minute of the match. Marciano Rexino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Marciano Rexino came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the 9 de diciembre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Rexino couldn't finish the play. Emin Flex came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by 9 de diciembre's Saverio Normando. But to his dismay, Saverio Normando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 37 minutes, Marciano Rexino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 9 de diciembre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Rexino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Gimnasia Y Esgrima BJ booed when 9 de diciembre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Neron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ezequiel Gumaro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Humberto Procopio. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Saverio Normando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emin Flex having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, 9 de diciembre's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Gaspard came free, but Ezequiel Gumaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabian Ereinotz kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Raimundo Lop took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ezequiel Gumaro. 9 de diciembre's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
