Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Esquipula in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cirilo Sagrario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Soutomayor defense, Eugenio Larra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jose Caton. The Soutomayor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jose Caton should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 52nd minute, Ezequiel Sugar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cirilo Sagrario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Sugar in the 55th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Soutomayor fully deserved thier win.
