Donato Matro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Uhin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Korneliusz Wawak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Matro having to interfere. If Teobaldo Maraman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Capitán Rosales FC's Placido Clodio got a free kick in the 88th minute. Roque Acevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Preston North End's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
