In the 13th minute, Wilfredo Ralondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juanito y los Clonosaurio's Eloy Cristofol couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. When Anastasio Ofelio came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Coby The Dog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anastasio Ofelio couldn't finish the play. After having played for 32 minutes, Hernan Bernad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coby The Dog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernan Bernad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Juanito y los Clonosaurio's zone, Hernan Bernad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Osasun came out of the goal and Hernan Bernad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anastasio Ofelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Juanito y los Clonosaurio players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coby The Dog were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anastasio Ofelio to strike the kick off in the second half. If Isaac Fraco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute.
