Spectators: 6970 (Terracing: 5300, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 15) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alfredo Urdin got the match started through his kick off. Cayetano Lico came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Doncella de Hierro's Bernardino Dacio. But to his dismay, Bernardino Dacio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Doncella de Hierro's goalkeeper Gaspar Umbruso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Urdin. After a defensive mix-up in Douglas Haig's zone, Bernardino Dacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Lico came out of the goal and Bernardino Dacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute Bernardino Dacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Lico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardino Dacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Lico having to interfere. Doncella de Hierro's Gaspar Umbruso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Doncella de Hierro from getting a goal against them. Orlando Hechter hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Gaspar Umbruso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Urdin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Cordara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Lico having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Urdin in the 33rd minute of play forced Doncella de Hierro's goalkeeper Gaspar Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Tadeo Kiliz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaspar Umbruso. Doncella de Hierro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tadeo Kiliz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 42nd match minute, Doncella de Hierro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Quintan to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Umbruso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Urdin in the 43rd minute of the match. Douglas Haig's Cayetano Lico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Cordara in the 46th minute of play. Bernardino Dacio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Lico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardino Dacio to make the kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Douglas Haig's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aquilino Alfonso was slow to take the kick. During this time Doncella de Hierro's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Honorato Reyes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustin Cutberto during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Douglas Haig's Agustin Cutberto got a free kick in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Douglas Haig defense, Orlando Cordara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Lico. The Douglas Haig fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Lico should have stopped the shot. Agustin Cutberto hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Bernardino Dacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Lico having to interfere. 69 minutes in the game, Orlando Cordara fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cayetano Lico having to interfere. When Tadeo Kiliz came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Douglas Haig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeo Kiliz couldn't finish the play. After having played for 78 minutes, Alfredo Urdin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douglas Haig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Urdin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Doncella de Hierro getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Benedicto Quintan hit a great ball. Cayetano Lico came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Doncella de Hierro's Orlando Cordara. But to his dismay, Orlando Cordara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Doncella de Hierro's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
