Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miguel Sasoin started the match with the kick off. Victoriano Cordeara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Sasoin's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Erubiel Cordarin charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erubiel Cordarin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Cayetano Lico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16thth minute of the game Mario Llanos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Douglas Haig's Cayetano Lico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Timoteo Chuan's late challenge caught a Douglas Haig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Timoteo Chuan helped the player get up and apologised. Timoteo Chuan kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Mosconi's Erubiel Cordarin came free and shot a quick shot against goal 29 minutes in the game, fortunately Cayetano Lico had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Victoriano Cordeara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Urdin in the 38th minute of play. Cayetano Lico was a little too slow when Mario Llanos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 2-0. After 45 played minutes Mosconi got a freekick which was hit by Timoteo Chuan. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Agustin Cutberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Cordeara having to interfere. A collision led to Douglas Haig getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Bernabe Jacindo hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Mosconi's Carlos Iztal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Erubiel Cordarin might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cayetano Lico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erubiel Cordarin ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Mario Llanos notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Douglas Haig's Cayetano Lico. Cayetano Lico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Mosconi's zone, Agustin Cutberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Cordeara came out of the goal and Agustin Cutberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Israel Guerrero's late challenge caught a Mosconi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Israel Guerrero helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd minute, Israel Guerrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erubiel Cordarin scored 4-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cayetano Lico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute Erubiel Cordarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Lico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cayetano Lico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Cordarin in the 84th minute of play. Mario Llanos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Cayetano Lico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Alfredo Urdin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douglas Haig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Urdin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Mario Llanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Lico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mosconi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Douglas Haig had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
