He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Doncella de Hierro reached it. Atilano Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Cordara in the 6th minute of play. When Bernardino Dacio came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Doncella de Hierro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardino Dacio couldn't finish the play. Fausto Orti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Umbruso having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orlando Hechter in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atilano Astudillo saved Nogolí AFC from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Nogolí AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Cordara came free, but Atilano Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Doncella de Hierro booed when Nogolí AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Beltran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orlando Cordara kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Fausto Orti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 36 minutes, Fausto Orti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 38th minute, Bonifacio Opilano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Doncella de Hierro's Gaspar Umbruso got control of the ball when Fausto Orti tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute, Orlando Hechter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bonifacio Opilano to strike the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bonifacio Opilano couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Nogolí AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
