Erasmo Montel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Mikeldi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Gilberto Lehior put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Maximiliano Mikeldi. Mercedes FC's Maximiliano Mikeldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Lehior in the 10th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Mercedes FC got a freekick which was hit by Dante Reynardo. Damaso Vistruario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliberto Michael, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 24th minute Feliberto Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Vistruario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Clemente Hever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Feliberto Michael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Benjamin Pirro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Pirro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute Feliberto Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Vistruario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Jeremias Cordarrol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Cordarrol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gilberto Lehior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Erasmo Montel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Feliberto Michael made the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Mikeldi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erasmo Montel in the 53rd minute. Dante Reynardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Vistruario having to interfere. Maximiliano Mikeldi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Lehior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gilberto Lehior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Fisherton FC booed when Mercedes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Bladi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andres Otoniel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 83 played minutes Mercedes FC got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Guillen. If Gilberto Lehior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Mikeldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Lehior in the 92nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes FC's zone, Clemente Hever stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Mikeldi came out of the goal and Clemente Hever tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Mikeldi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Lehior's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
