When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Vicente Bernal sped through LidiaPalma y Piratas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benicio Cordaryal. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Andres Lizbeth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canque's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Lizbeth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benicio Cordaryal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Vicente Bernal came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Canque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Bernal couldn't finish the play. Vicente Bernal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Andres Lizbeth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canque's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Lizbeth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Andres Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente Bernal was the one to do the kick off. If Andres Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind LidiaPalma y Piratas's goalkeeper Benicio Cordaryal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benicio Cordaryal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute.
