Fidel Ayala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Mikeldi having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Mercedes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Lico came free, but Maximiliano Mikeldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliberto Michael who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Orlando Tirso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Mercedes FC booed when Albinegro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Osmundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Mercedes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Theodore came free, but Maximiliano Mikeldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Orlando Tirso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Leandro Lico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Timo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maximiliano Mikeldi. Mercedes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

If Benjamin Pirro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Pirro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orlando Tirso was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Maximiliano Mikeldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximiliano Mikeldi made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Leandro Lico sent off a good shot on target. The Albinegro FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mercedes FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
