Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Ostadar in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hipolito Bertran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SLUNA F.C's Hipolito Bertran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Ostadar in the 45th minute of play. Boca Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silvestre Fresco in the 47th minute. After taking down the ball on Boca Juniors's corner Silvestre Fresco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hipolito Bertran quite easily take care of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Pascual Pedroso's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Roberto Ostadar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jonatan Salvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute.
