After 2 played minutes Ninalquín got a freekick which was hit by Iker Urti. Gilberto Abecia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Hipolito Bertran made a huge save. Gilberto Abecia struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Hipolito Bertran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ninalquín. Hipolito Bertran made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Gilberto Abecia sent off a good shot on target. Dionisio Corderun kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. SLUNA F.C's Hipolito Bertran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save SLUNA F.C from getting a goal against them. Gilberto Abecia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Hipolito Bertran skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Maximo Baleren hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 25 played minutes SLUNA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Baleren. In the 26th minute of the match Dionisio Corderun sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hipolito Bertran skillfully saved the ball. Rosendo Gonsalvo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Lino Ibañez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Itzaina during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ninalquín getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Cristian Itzaina hit a great ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Gilberto Abecia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ninalquín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Abecia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Norino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Ibañez having to interfere. Cristian Itzaina hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Norino was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th match minute, SLUNA F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Ninalquín's goalkeeper Lino Ibañez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosendo Gonsalvo. Hipolito Bertran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Abecia, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. SLUNA F.C's Rodrigo Norino suffered a concussion in the 74th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 75th match minute, Ninalquín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Urti to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ninalquín's goalkeeper Lino Ibañez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of SLUNA F.C booed when Ninalquín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Lobo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guillermo Cambranes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ninalquín's Gilberto Abecia got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ninalquín were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SLUNA F.C for a fine match.
