The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Boca Juniors's Justo Lauren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Romelio in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Cotita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Odol didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Apolo Romelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Lauren came out of the goal and Apolo Romelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Apolo Romelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Justo Lauren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Romelio in the 35th minute of the match. David Eguzki charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Eguzki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Eguzki to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Boca Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Romulo Curcio was slow to take the kick. During this time Cotita's players had a chance to rest. Cotita's Enrique Ugaitz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Justo Lauren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Camilo Lapurdi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Ostadar's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. When Boca Juniors's Roberto Ostadar in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cotita's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roberto Ostadar made a kick off. In the 54th minute Roberto Ostadar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Lapurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Maximino Odol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cotita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. In the 55th match minute, Cotita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Odol to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Ostadar had several of the Cotita's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Camilo Lapurdi as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jonatan Salvino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camilo Lapurdi having to make a save. Jonatan Salvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Camilo Lapurdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Jonatan Salvino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Camilo Lapurdi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roberto Ostadar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Apolo Romelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Lauren having to interfere. Eustaquio Eguzki charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustaquio Eguzki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cotita's Eustaquio Eguzki got a free kick in the 77th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Romelio came free, but Justo Lauren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 88 minutes, Jonatan Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Salvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camilo Lapurdi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonatan Salvino went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. If Jonatan Salvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Boca Juniors's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
