The referee ignored Bajo Frías's protests and gave Julio Pueblo a yellow card for diving instead. Julio Pueblo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute of the match Feliberto Veto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidoro Aires showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 12th match minute, Bajo Frías was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Oidor to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Aires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Jenaro in the 16th minute of the match. Gavino Matxin struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Cipriano Egoitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bajo Frías. If Gavino Matxin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Baltasar Patxi came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Colegiales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Patxi couldn't finish the play. Vicente Oidor lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Bajo Frías:s Isidoro Aires showed great skill when he stopped Feliberto Veto:s penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Colegiales's zone, Julio Pueblo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Egoitz came out of the goal and Julio Pueblo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Patxi to make the kick off. The supporters of Colegiales booed when Bajo Frías was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Oriche didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Bajo Frías's Isidoro Aires got control of the ball when Camilo Jenaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adrian Tome recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isidoro Aires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Patxi, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the game, Camilo Jenaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Isidoro Aires was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 69 minutes, Filomeno Ofelio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bajo Frías and the Colegiales players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Bajo Frías was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Ofelio to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Arnaldo Tino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eleuterio Jago took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidoro Aires. Isidoro Aires dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 82 played minutes Bajo Frías got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Matxin. Camilo Jenaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Isidoro Aires made a huge save. Colegiales's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
