The referee showed Salvador Ixona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Domingos Oier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apolo Romelio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Romulo Curcio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Cotita:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Anjulio FC:s goal. Cotita:s Camilo Lapurdi showed great skill when he stopped Osvaldo Tonio:s penalty. After some careless play in the Cotita defense, Osvaldo Tonio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Lapurdi. The Cotita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Lapurdi should have stopped the shot. Braulio Quintan might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Lapurdi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Braulio Quintan ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Anjulio FC booed when Cotita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Eguzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Anjulio FC had won after a very even match.
