In the 11th minute Rosendo Gonsalvo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Quiroga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carmelo Serapio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Celso Gauargi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Bertran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Quiroga made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Pascual Pedroso sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SLUNA F.C's goalkeeper Hipolito Bertran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hipolito Bertran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Gauargi in the 32nd minute of play. SLUNA F.C's Hipolito Bertran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Gauargi in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, SLUNA F.C's Rosendo Gonsalvo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Carmelo Serapio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hipolito Bertran having to make a save. Celso Gauargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. La Germaneta F.C's Carmelo Serapio got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lino Guifre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Hipolito Bertran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

La Germaneta F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Gauargi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
