The referee ignored MORGAN FC's protests and gave Gervasio Mergildo a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes MORGAN FC got a freekick which was hit by Gervasio Mergildo. Fernando Rainerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Beltxe in the 39th minute of play. If Pascual Beltxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Gervasio Mergildo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Silvano Bernad. That made the score 1-1 in the 43 minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
