After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Damaso Galindo made the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Sheite got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Gonsalve. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leo Torres got free with Ovidio Luzaide in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leo Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Luzaide having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Velloso's zone, Niceto Nabar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desiderio Maurino came out of the goal and Niceto Nabar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damaso Galindo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Ovidio Luzaide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velloso. Tobias Goito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sheite's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Damaso Galindo scored to the left of an out of position Ovidio Luzaide, making the score, 0-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Velloso walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
