Spectators: 7182 (Terracing: 5535, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 147) River MdP's Gualterio Abeitia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, River MdP's Norberto Yácono got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Amador Teyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Abeitia in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Mauricio Policarpio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Cordarrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amador Teyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Endura in the 9th minute of the match. River MdP were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Gallinas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Laureano Victoro took the corner. When Felipe Miliano fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gallinas's protests and gave Felipe Miliano a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gallinas's Felipe Miliano got a free kick in the 12th minute. Laureano Victoro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amador Teyo. Gallinas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Jorge Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Cordarrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Santiago in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Anier Noe fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marcelo Cordarrel, passed just outside the right post. Victorino Tulio's late challenge caught a River MdP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorino Tulio helped the player get up and apologised. Anier Noe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Marcelo Cordarrel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Cordarrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Policarpio in the 32nd minute of play. Victorino Tulio kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Marcelo Cordarrel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Noe in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Mauricio Policarpio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gallinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Policarpio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Cordarrel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. River MdP's Marcelo Cordarrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Santiago in the 41st minute of play. Victorino Tulio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Policarpio was the one to do the kick off. If Arsenio Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute, Mauricio Policarpio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Cordarrel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Eneas during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benjamin Eneas hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Policarpio in the 72nd minute of play forced River MdP's goalkeeper Marcelo Cordarrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jorge Endura managed to get in a good position for a shot. River MdP's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Endura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Teyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelo Cordarrel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute, Dalmacio Ignado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gallinas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Marcelo Cordarrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Policarpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of River MdP booed when Gallinas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Tulio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amador Teyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Endura in the 94th minute of play. Mauricio Policarpio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Gallinas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
