After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Esteban Millano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carolina's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban Millano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Iban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Iban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Millano, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 22 minutes into the match, La Lonja FC's goalkeeper Benito Iban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergio Ortzi. A collision led to La Lonja FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Cirilo Restu hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Mancio got free with Benito Iban in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Carolina booed when La Lonja FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Ruisko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Millano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Jacinto Mancio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Iban was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Esteban Millano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

With a little luck, Carolina's Elias Sergi got control of the ball when Artemio Ruisko tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Millano in the 55th minute of play forced La Lonja FC's goalkeeper Benito Iban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Mancio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Iban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Bernabe Nuxila's late challenge caught a La Lonja FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernabe Nuxila helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, La Lonja FC's Zacarias Endira got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Benito Iban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Millano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Jacinto Mancio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Jacinto Mancio managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Lonja FC's goalkeeper Benito Iban, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. La Lonja FC's Benito Iban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Mancio in the 80th minute of play. If Victorio Sol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Millano kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 95 minutes of play, Carolina's Jacinto Mancio made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Iban was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carolina walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
