The supporters of River MdP booed when Trotadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Jesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiliano Txanton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Abeitia, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gualterio Abeitia was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, River MdP's Norberto Yácono got a free kick in the 54th minute. With a little luck, Trotadores's Emiliano Txanton got control of the ball when Jorge Endura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcelo Cordarrel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Gaztea went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jorge Enduras short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Emiliano Txanton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, River MdP's Alberto Pacorro got a free kick in the 78th minute. Trotadores's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnulfo Henric in the 81st minute. Leonardo Gaztea kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Jorge Endura who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Emiliano Txanton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 94 minutes, Leonardo Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
