Anier Noe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Lapurdi having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Gallinas's Luisito Lapurdi threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mauricio Policarpio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 6th minute of the match Gallinas got a corner. C.A Deportivo Alianza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jens de Vos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jens de Vos made a great header on Gallinas's corner, it was just that C.A Deportivo Alianza's Luisito Lapurdi managed to reach the ball for a save. Mauricio Policarpio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Lapurdi having to interfere. After 13 played minutes C.A Deportivo Alianza got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Rito. Amador Teyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Efraim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 21 minutes, Mauricio Policarpio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gallinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Policarpio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in C.A Deportivo Alianza's zone, Mauricio Policarpio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisito Lapurdi came out of the goal and Mauricio Policarpio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Gallinas's Mauricio Policarpio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luisito Lapurdi. Luisito Lapurdi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Anier Noe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arsenio Rafel was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gallinas! Gallinas:s Amador Teyo showed great skill when he stopped Florentino Emmanuel:s penalty. If Anier Noe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 38th minute, Genaro Xacintu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisito Lapurdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Anier Noe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Genaro Xacintu came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Gallinas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genaro Xacintu couldn't finish the play. Genaro Xacintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Raul Santiago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidro Cucao to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Jens de Vos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gallinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens de Vos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisito Lapurdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 54 minutes into the match, C.A Deportivo Alianza's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Xacintu came free, but Luisito Lapurdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Braulio Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in C.A Deportivo Alianza's zone, Genaro Xacintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisito Lapurdi came out of the goal and Genaro Xacintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amador Teyo made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Braulio Efraim sent off a good shot on target. Mauricio Policarpio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Luisito Lapurdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Genaro Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Genaro Xacintu struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Luisito Lapurdi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gallinas. After a defensive mix-up in C.A Deportivo Alianza's zone, Dalmacio Ignado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisito Lapurdi came out of the goal and Dalmacio Ignado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Braulio Efraim came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the C.A Deportivo Alianza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braulio Efraim couldn't finish the play. Luisito Lapurdi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genaro Xacintu's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Ubaldo Tino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the game, Anier Noe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Luisito Lapurdi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mauricio Policarpio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisito Lapurdi having to make a save. Cecilio Rito kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Luisito Lapurdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anier Noe in the 90th minute of the match.
