Lisandro Dantae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Gamus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Delmar Ebardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alfonso Iban came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Monsalvo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Iban couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Monsalvo AFC's Angelino Bernaldo threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Delmar Ebardo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee ignored Monsalvo AFC's protests and gave Luisito Chorche a yellow card for diving instead. Luisito Chorche kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Campana's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Iban came free, but Angelino Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
