Prospero Txomin came out of the goal and German Sadurni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. German Sadurni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Manzanos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Aquiles Urtsin scored to the left of an out of position Leandro Fix, making the score, 1-1. Narciso Todor hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. German Sadurni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Los Manzanos's supporters crossed their fingers, but German Sadurni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. One of Calabacillas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los Manzanos:s goal. Narciso Todor shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guaberto Ubarna to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Los Manzanos booed when Calabacillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Mede didn't get a good kick on the ball. Txema Corujo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Prospero Txomin when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
