In the 3rd match minute, Riachuelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Urtsua to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Crispo made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Gervasio Quintun sent off a good shot on target. Gervasio Quintun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Freddy Crispo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Generoso Urtsua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saul Bilintx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Salvador Kepa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ciénaga's zone, Saul Bilintx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Kepa came out of the goal and Saul Bilintx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Gabrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 13 minutes, Saul Bilintx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riachuelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Bilintx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Riachuelo's Freddy Crispo got control of the ball when Gervasio Quintun tried to sneak it across the goal line. 0-2 became the score in the 29th minute when Adrian Gabrio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Ciénaga's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Bilintx came free, but Salvador Kepa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Ciénaga defense, Adrian Gabrio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salvador Kepa. The Ciénaga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salvador Kepa should have stopped the shot. Ciénaga's Salvador Kepa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Gabrio in the 47th minute of play. The Ciénaga players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Riachuelo were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Adrian Gabrio made the kick off in the second half. Hipolito Azibar kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Adrian Gabrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Kepa having to interfere. In the 56th minute Lucio Gilen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Crispo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Riachuelo's zone, Gervasio Quintun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Crispo came out of the goal and Gervasio Quintun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the game, Nicasio Gines was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riachuelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciénaga the free kick. Riachuelo's Adrian Gabrio got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 76 minutes, Saul Bilintx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riachuelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Bilintx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Riachuelo's Adrian Gabrio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salvador Kepa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adrian Gabrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Kepa having to interfere. A hard shot 81 in the game by Saul Bilintx from a close distance when the talented Salvador Kepa managed to make a qualified save. Ciénaga's players were relieved. Saul Bilintx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Salvador Kepa made a huge save. Adrian Gabrio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salvador Kepa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Hipolito Azibar got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Ciénaga getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Hipolito Azibar hit a great ball. In the 90th minute of the match Riachuelo got a corner. Ciénaga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ruperto Jaume ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ruperto Jaume got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Salvador Kepa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gervasio Quintun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Crispo having to interfere. The Ciénaga supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Riachuelo's performance. The match ended with a win for Riachuelo.
