The audience was convinced that Eliseo Hegoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustino Gaizkine was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Abascal in the 76th minute of play forced Daniel Willington's goalkeeper Ildefonso Esquipula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Daniel Willington reached it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Daniel Willington had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
